Winter (December, January and February) This season is noted for occasional snowfall only at higher elevations. Hence it is ideal for trekking at lower elevations, generally below 3,000 meters.
Spring(March, April and May) Different varieties of wild flowers, specially the rhododendrons make the hillside above 5,000 meters a haunting paradise during this season. It is mildly warm at lower elevations and at higher elevation over 4,000 meters the mountain views are excellent and temperature is quite moderate.
Summer (June, July and August) summer months, continues up to mid September making travel wet and warm. these months are blessed for the keen botanist as the higher valleys and meadows blossom with flowers and lush vegetation. It is recommended to carry insect repellent when trekking during summer months.
-Trekking shoes (boots)
-One pair of sandal
-Warm down jacket should be adequate.
– Sleeping bag.
-A rain proof/ wind proof jacket with hood.
-Heavy weight trousers are useful for high up in the mountains in morning and night.
-Wind proof/water proof trousers are necessary on all treks going above 4000 miters.
-2 pairs of loose fitting long shorts/skirts
-2 cotton T-shirts
-A woolen hat and sun-hat
-A pair of gloves, leather with lining and woolen is best
-3 pairs of thin and 3 pairs of thick woolen socks
-Personal medical supplies
– Flash light/ Batteries
-Toiletries with towels
-Snow glasses and sunglasses
-Sun cream (lotion)
-Trekking stick(trekking pole).
You don’t need any exceptional fitness but you should be fit enough to walk 5-6 hours in a day. If you practice jogging, hiking and swimming exercises about one or two months before your trekking, that is good enough for Nepal trekking
Food safety is always a big concern and we take it very seriously. That is why we have chosen the cleanest and most hygienically kept Tea Houses for our routes. Most of lodges serve boiled water, which is generally safe to drink.
Yes, our airport representative will come to the airport to pick you up. Outside of Terminal Hall. He/She will be displaying a welcomecard of Joyful trekking & Tour (P) Ltd. with your name on it.
Our porters will carry your bags during the trekking. Our porters can carry about 30 Kilograms.
You need to walk about 6, 7 hours everyday.
A day pack is very light. You need to carry only the daily necessities such as water , camera, snacks, warm jacket and personal toiletries.
Generally, your hotel will allow you to store your staffs. Our company also can store your staffs. It is free of charge.
Of course you can charge your battery during the trekking, some popular trekking route like:-Everest, Annapurna and Langtang but you will be charged $ 3,4 per hour.
