It is the great opportunity for you if you get to trek to mustang. It is one of the restricted areas in Nepal. Upper mustang, also known as Lo Mustang is full of mystery as it was forbidden for some decades whereas Nepali trekkers were not allowed. There are so many things we need to know about old Buddhist kingdom and we can learn in there. Mustang is almost similar to Tibet geographically as well as culturally. For transportation we can take flight from Pokhara till Jomsom, if we are in hurry and excited to reach Mustang & to see the desert beauty and harsh cliff faced landscapes.
Mustang, with Maximum Elevation of 3840m, will treat you like you are heaven. It would be great privilege to be there where we will get to see the Himalayas life, how they live and their lifestyles, as well as, culture, tradition and foods. They have very simple accommodation but people are so welcoming and loving, they make their living with hard work and patient. As mustang is rain shadow area it would be great to visit during monsoon but during winter when there would be extreme cold weather.
